What To Wear For Easter

First of all Happy Easter weekend to all of you who celebrate this incredible time. I hope you all have a wonderful Good Friday and Easter Sunday day filled with happiness, peace, joy, and loved ones.

Not only is this Sunday Easter, but it is also the day fashionistas breathe a sigh of relief-  why? IT'S ACCEPTABLE TO WEAR WHITE AGAIN! Sorry for the all caps, but I'm excited! I just bought my first pair of white pants this past February and I am so tickled to be able to finally wear them!

I've always loved getting dressed up for Easter Sunday. Who doesn't love putting on a pretty sundress and heels? My Easter dresses though the years are some of my favorite outfits and hold such dear memories.  My hometown Church always does a "live Cross" in which all the members bring fresh flowers and cover the Cross completely:

One of my favorite childhood traditions and memories.
This will be my first ever Easter apart from my family. My friends and I are planning a "friend Easter" here in our college town. It will be different for sure, but I look forward to creating new memories with them. Here's a few different looks that would so fun for Easter!

Eater Dresses

I got the middle Lilly dress as an early birthday present, it's my first Lilly dress ever! I can't wait to wear it with my Jacks on Easter. It's just such a fun, happy, springy dress! Thanks Mom & Dad! What are you planning to wear this Easter? Which look would of the three would you choose? Let me know!

How To Style Keds

I have a confession. One of my absolute biggest pet peeves is when girls where tennis shoes with jeans. Not Keds or Chuck Taylors, I'm talking chunky, should only be worn with other exercising clothes, tennis shoes. For example:

I mean come on. Ick.
However, there is a huge difference between tennis shoes and sneakers. One of the most iconic examples of sneakers is of course Baby in Dirty Dancing:

Swoon.
Lately I've started noticing the cutest little sneakers being worn with cropped pants, shorts, skirts and dresses. Ladies like Taylor Swift (the face of Keds), reality tv darling Kristen Cavallari, and model Candice Swanepoel have rocked these sneakers perfectly:

I have been seeing the cutest tennis shoes for spring. Such as the Kate Spade x Keds collaboration, Kate Spade Saturday PF Flyers, the Keds Braveheart Collection, and the Tretorn's for J Crew.

How precious right? I'm really leaning towards either the Kate Spade Saturday light pink PF Flyers or the navy J. Crew Tretorns. Which ones do y'all like best?!

Sneakers

Let me know which you think I should order! Do y'all like the sneaker trend? I think they're the perfect shoe for spring!

Spring Break Update & J. Crew Obsessing

I'm back y'all! Oh my goodness. The cruise was beyond amazing! Five days with amazing people having fun all day was such an incredible time that I will never ever forget! Here's a few pics just to give y'all a taste of it's awesomeness:

The BF.
Even though the water was chilly I still had to go for a swim!
All the girls of the group at Coco Cay. (I'm second to right)
So in love with my hat!
While I was laying out I had time to peruse the J. Crew Summer 2013 Style Guide including it's shoot from St. Barths. Oh my goodness, I have fallen in love. Go take a peek for yourselves at this link.

The outfits are so laid back yet 100% classic and chic. My favorite outfit is the scalloped shift dress which is accessorized with sweet keds-style tennis shoes, a beautiful tan leather tote, and Ray Ban Clubmaster Sunnies. I die. I am particularly obsessed with the Tartine Tote:

I mean right?? How gorgeous. It's taking all my willpower not to use my birthday money to get this bag! What are y'all obsessing over from the spring collections? Let me know!

Checking In

I feel like such a bad blogger. I just realized I haven't blogged in over two weeks, what a fail! Safe to say school has been insane. Literally every single day for the past two weeks have been completely scheduled in order for me to write papers, study for midterms, do homework and readings, blah blah blah. When everything is like that fun things like blogging have to fall to the wayside, but I am happy to say I got through it and am officially on Spring Break!!

My friends and I leave for a cruise to the Bahamas on Monday!

I get to start and end my break with two weekends at home with my family which is awesome. I spent today outside listening to my brother's band play at a town event then eating lunch and shopping with my parents. Spring shopping is my FAVORITE. Let's just say my wardrobe is doing a happy dance.

Spring Fashion Finds

I hit the jackpot at J. Crew, Gap, Old Navy, and Target! So in love with everything I got! The actual shirt dress from Gap is plain chambray, no polka dots, but I couldn't find I picture of it online! I especially can't wait to style my new hat and know I will have so much fun pairing it with different items on the trip. I am obsessed with both pairs of shorts I found! The anchor print pair are too perfect and I love the classic nautical feel of the green J. Crew shorts. I'm just so pleased with all the goodies I found!

Anyway I am so glad to be back at blogging and so sorry I abandoned y'all the last couple of weeks! I won't be on here this week since I'll be on a cruise ship but once break is over I'll be back in full force!

Anchors Aweigh! (And Happy St. Patrick's Day!)

Classy Crop Tops

Crop tops. I remember seeing teenagers wear these in the 90's and thinking they were so cool. They can  be super sleazy looking but lately I've seen so many celeb's paring them with high waisted shorts and skirts so that only a small part of the stomach actually shows, which surprisingly looks very fresh and fun without being too much.

It takes so guts to pull off this combo but with spring break and my birthday coming up I have the perfect excuse to give it a shot! Here's some options of tops I've been looking at to try:

Crops

Obviously I'm especially loving the striped versions, not that that's surprising because I am obsessed with stripes. However, there are some other outfits I've seen online while searching that I like as well:

What do y'all think about this trend? It's definitely out of my comfort zone but sometimes you have to take risks right? Takes my logic any way. Let me know what you think!!
