Oh, Spring Break 2013, you sure are taking your sweet time to get here. These tests and papers have started to pile up so much lately. But on the bright side, 3 weeks from today I will be in the beautiful sunshine of Coco Key- Royal Caribbean's private island. These next 19 days can't go by quickly enough! Are you looking forward to spring break as much as I am? We can do this!

Birthday Dress

Birthday dress shopping is always fun. Your birthday is the one day a year that it's totally okay to be overly glamorous and sassy for no reason other than it's your day. For my 16th birthday I became obsessed with finding the perfect hot pink dress to wear at my Breakfast at Tiffany's themed 'dress up' party. I was totally inspired by Audrey Hepburn in this iconic look from Breakfast at Tiffany's.

How amazing, right? Here's me at my Sweet Sixteen in a pink dress from Nordstrom. I loved that dress so much. I felt so special and like such a princess that night, it's a feeling I will never ever forget!

Since then I haven't really been too crazy when it came to birthday outfits since ages 17-20 aren't really that special of birthdays. However, 21 is a pretty big deal! Finally I will no longer be considered 'underage' in any aspect. I can't wait to be able to make my own choices and no longer have the law decide it for me.

So, since I'm so excited for my birthday I've decided it's time for another special dress! I'm 5 years older now and want something more mature but also fun and sexy. I can't stop thinking about backless/low back dresses. I think having an open back is such a subtly sultry way to show some skin without revealing too much. I would also love another pink dress if I can find one. Pink is just such a special color! Here's some options I've been looking at:

Bithday Option 1

Birthday Option #4

Birthday Option 3

So far I'm reallyy leaning toward the second dress! What do you think about my options? Which would you choose? 1, 2, or 3? Let me know! Can't wait to hear your opinions!

4. I am super organized and obsessed with planning. I have four calendars (phone, computer, wall, & agenda) going at all times and use the To-Do App on my phone religiously.

5. I am a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. I love being a part of this wonderful group of women and it has brought me so many opportunities and memories that without it I wouldn't have had.

6. I studied abroad this past summer and visited Belgium, The Netherlands, France, England, Spain, and Italy. It was an incredible experience and I am so blessed to have the opportunity to do so.

7. I am very passionate about what I hope to be my future career. It's my goal to work for a magazine, whether in print or an online version, and I am working extremely hard to get there.

Questions from Classy Girl In Green:
1. What’s your favorite vacation spot?

That's a tough one. I went to Barcelona this past summer and fell in love but I would have to say my family's beach house on the South Carolina coast. It's been in our family for over 60 years and is the one place where we all gather together every year without fail. To me the beach house means love, laughter, sun, fun, and family time which is so sacred and has given me memories that will last forever.

2. What’s the last movie you watched?
Ferris Buller's Day Off, which I have on DVD. I'm a classic movie addict. Give me anything filmed from the 30s's to the 80's and I'm good to go! :)

3. Do you prefer college or NLF football?
COLLEGE! I am a die-hard Clemson fan and have been since birth. My family, all the way from my great-grandfather to my mom have attended Clemson and I am currently a Junior here. I am so in love with my University and everything about it. On game-days you will find me decked out in my best orange and cheering way too crazily for my Tigers.

4. Pearl or diamond earrings?
Being a Southern girl I would have to say the pearls my Grandma gave me for high school graduation, of course! I rarely take them off.

5. Would you go a month without one checking social media site?
No way. It's almost embarrassing the amount of time I spend of Twitter and Instagram. I love keeping up with everything that's going on in the world and with my friends. I could probably go without Facebook or e-mail but my Twitter obsession runs too deep to stop for a whole month!

6. Mac or PC?
I'm a Mac girl all the way. I saved up my money to buy my first laptop, an iBook G4, when I was 15 and haven't looked back since. I currently have a white Macbook and being an English major and writing all the time it's my lifeline!

7. What’s your favorite type of flower?
Peonies all the way! There is something about their fragile, dainty petals and soft look that I just adore.

8. Do you prefer chocolate or vanilla ice cream?
Vanilla, hands down.

9. What character would you be from the Rugrats?
Hmm, probably a mix between Angela and Chuckie. I love to plan and organize things but I also have a shy side that comes out at times.

10. If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Santorini, Greece. Ever since I can remember I've stared at pictures of the beautiful white washed buildings and giant bright blue water and wished I could see it in person. Hopefully one day I'll get there!

11. What’s your favorite rainy day activity?
Probably snuggling up on my couch with a good book or movie, or online shopping!

Pointy Toe Heels

Obviously pointed toe pumps have been back with a vengeance for a while now, but I still can't get enough! From bold, to sparkle, to print, it seems these sassy shoes can do no wrong! With spring semester underway my social life will be much more active in the coming months and I can't wait to throw on a pair of these boys and hit the town. Their cheeky charm can make the often dreary winter months a much happier place. I mean, the right shoes can change your life (just think of Cinderella!)

Get to the Point

With my 21st coming up in April I have been searching for the perfect "birthday" shoe. I stumbled across these pretties in my search and haven't been able to stop thinking about them since! I think a pair of nude pumps is something every girls needs and the unexpected sassy silver heel just makes them that much more amazing.

What do y'all think? Should I splurge and snatch them up before it's too late?? What would you pair it with? Let me know!

Jack Rogers Harper Wedges

Y'all. I just swooned a little bit. The moment I laid eyes on these beauties I knew it was the real deal. Usually I delete emails from stores without opening them because my inbox fills up so much during the day but for some reason I opened this particular email and I am SO glad that I did. What am I drooling over so much? The Jack Rogers Harper Wedge.

How amazing right?? The classic Jack Rogers stitching and details with a sassy splash of snakeskin is just genius. There is also a platinum version that is just as perfect! Sigh, someone who isn't a poor college kid buy these so I can see how precious they are styled different ways! Personally I would pair them with a swingy sundress or my bright coral pants!

Do you love the different style of shoes the Jack Rogers brand has ventured into other than the classic Navajo sandal? Let me know what you think!

Ps- After a little more than 6 months blogging I finally hit 50 followers! I know this seems not that big of a deal to y'all but I value each one of my 50 lovely followers and am so thankful that y'all read my little blog! xoxoxo

Spring Dreaming

So, big news dolls. I don't know if you've heard, but my dear friend Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow this past Saturday February 2nd. Meaning? An early spring! Happy dance! But seriously, whether a groundhog can predict the weather or not I am itching for an early spring. Spring  has always been a special time in my life. It means warm temps, beautiful nature, Easter, baby animals, and last but not least, my birthday!! My mom, my God-sister, and I are all Aries. My God-sister was born April 2nd, I was born April 3rd, and my mom was born April 9th. Aries will always have a special place in my heart :)

While I dream of sunny days and baseball games, the best part of spring is the clothes! Bright colors, sandals, and finally being able to wear white again. What's better than that?? I wish I was in this outfit strolling around a sun-drenched city while sipping a lemonade.

Spring Dreamin

Are y'all as ready for spring day as I am? What are you most looking forward to wearing again? Let me know!
